'Why fit in when you were born to stand out.' Dr. Seuss
Having spent a lot of time with children and adults who don't easily fit in or who can't see themselves in the environment they are in, we want to encourage and magnify opportunities to celebrate our difference's.
We know reading is fun but it can also be challenging. Having worked with ex-offenders who couldn't read and children who have dyslexia, we wanted to create a space for everyone to feel at home in a book.
We share our experience and hope you will share yours too. We want to use this forum to share together.
Let us know if you find a good book, website, event or article that helps you so that we can share with others.
Let us know what our books have meant to you.
In 'Love My Hair' you will meet lots of children who are all different, like Kevin who has cancer, so please feel free to be honest and share.
''Love My hair' will be available in Chinese, French and Dutch soon.
